To bring real-life interactions to the virtual world seamlessly.
While the likes of Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet have been thriving since the shift to remote working, there’s still something of a gap in the market for tools which help enterprises to build their own video apps for both conferencing and live streaming. 100ms, which only launched in 2020, has quickly become a key player in this space.
Co-founded by a trio who helped build live video infrastructure for Facebook and Disney+ Hotstar (India’s largest streaming platform), the startup allows developers to add live video to their apps. The company’s customer list is impressive even at this early stage, with WhiteHat Jr, Circle, Paytm Insider, and Frontrow on the books.
Even with such encouraging early growth, 100ms is showing no sign of complacency. Now equipped with major investment from Alpha Wave and Matrix Partners, it’s aiming to increase its deployability time to allow developers tools to launch video apps in just a matter of hours.
