To bring the curriculum to life via educational software.
Education is estimated to be a $7 trillion industry by 2025. However, the education industry is hugely under digitised, with less than 4% of global expenditure on tech. Founder Nigel Canin recognised this need for digitising education when working as a primary school teacher. Created in 1999, 2Simple has been an early player in the EdTech industry.
The company's multi-award winning app 2Build a Profile provides an easy way to gather observations and is a powerful tool for supporting formative assessment, enabling comprehensive progress tracking for every child across each stage of their development. Further, 2Simple's popular programme Purple Mash is a continually updated website filled with creative tools, games and curriculum resources to support children at school and at home.
There are still, however, competitors within this market. This includes Now>press>play and language learning app, Memrise. However, shape of the 2Simple continues to be led by an insider understanding of the school system and curriculum, and it is keeping abreast of changing trends: the most recent addition to Purple Mash is ‘2Code’ which lets teachers with no prior knowledge of coding deliver engaging and challenging lessons. This approach places it well for keeping its offerings relevant.
