As the average age in the UK continues to rise, ageism is becoming more prevalent of a problem, and businesses are missing out on valuable older talent and customers. Championing the UK's over-50s, 55/Redefined supplies businesses with insights and training to support them in becoming more age inclusive, as well as providing a lifestyle platform tailored to over-50s.

Through its Work/Redefined and Jobs/Redefined platforms, the company delivers its service to businesses, which includes reporting and analysis on their age inclusivity status, and a jobs board through which they can source over-50s talent. Meanwhile, Life/Redefined, acts as a membership platform supplying over-50s with career advice, travel and lifestyle content.

With its clear, meaningful mission and multi-faceted approach, the company has a real chance to become a voice in the movement to challenge society’s perceptions around age. It will be interesting to see how it continues to develop, and what impact it is able to foster.
