With a focus on financial services, 777 Partners is an alternative investment platform founded in 2015 after a buyout of SuttonPark Capital by Pennant Park 777 Partners. Now investing across insurance, consumer and commercial finance, litigation finance, direct lending, media and entertainment, and aviation, 777 has dozens of companies under its wing including Ensurem and the London Lions basketball team.
777 claims to differ from its many investment competitors in that it focuses on its portfolio members' value creation and growth in the long term. It seeks out solutions to help these companies focus on the tasks within their mandates instead of those time-consuming tasks without. 777 Partners’ solutions include portfolio company collaboration, digital tool use, and scaling and identifying loyal customer bases. All of these solutions imply that 777 Partners is an investment company focused on long-term gain, rather than quick fixes.
With more than $7 billion dollars in assets, 777 Partners bought airline software businesses to serve small airlines, whilst also gaining minority stakes in digital engineering firm USG. With a diverse portfolio of which many companies have experienced rapid growth, 777 Partners appears to be a strong partner for small businesses.
