To transform time tracking from a mandatory task into a valuable feedback loop that helps developers own their time and do their best work.
Time tracking, whilst necessary, is not well-perceived by teams; bringing with it connotations of surveillance culture, and oftentimes being more a blow to productive time than a helpful means to increase it. 7pace provides a built-in tool, Timetracker, for teams working in Azure DevOps, that brings automation to time tracking and identifies individual work patterns, all while remaining out of the way.
7pace, which launched in 2013, is the number one extension on the Azure DevOps Marketplace. Its Timetracker leverages AI and machine learning to capture time data within a developer’s workflow, producing real-time insights on cross-platform activity, which can highlight points of time-loss and contribute to improving the way that they work. By automating much of the process, 7pace’s technology is able to reduce the time taken to log each task to mere seconds, meaning the time tracking process does not become cumbersome for staff.
7pace’s software is used by over 2,500 software teams in over 100 countries, serving big names such as Microsoft, Accenture, and Deloitte. The company was recently acquired by Appfire, an enterprise collaboration software company, which will enable 7pace to enhance its product offering by bringing its leading solution to the Atlassian ecosystem.
