Our take

An often overlooked area of the energy crisis, battery efficiency solutions are an open market with little competition. Capitalising on this space, German startup Accure banked $8 million in Series A in 2021, and has since partnered with companies such as HDI Th!NX, a risk-analysis-for-insurance company.

This most recent partnership exemplifies the scope of battery efficiency software. Not only can Accure use its cloud-based battery analysis platform to optimise battery-powered performance and create more powerful clean energy solutions, but use the data to help companies in other fields, such as marketing and as mentioned, energy insurance.

It’s no surprise that the platform has been utilised in more fields than can be expected. Accure was founded by three scientists and postdoctorate scholars at Aachen University, who have experience in thermodynamic engineering, renewable energy research, and the market development of storage systems. This combined knowledge makes for a multifaceted skillset, one which Accure has implemented to great success so far.
