AEXLAB's mission is to apply its technologies to further virtual reality as a first-class social experience.
The VR movement is really beginning to gather momentum now, with the $8 billion industry forecast to be worth around $60 billion by 2030. Leading this growth are major names like Meta, Google, and Microsoft, all of whom are either building their own products or buying up disruptive, independent studios.
The founding team behind Miami-based studio AEXLAB believes that big corporations and quality gaming don’t mix, and it’s backing itself to make up the shortfall. Having pivoted from creating VR music experiences to gaming in 2017, the company has been developing a multiplayer VR First Person Shooter game called “Vail VR”.
The early reception for Vail has been extremely encouraging, and now that it's financially backed by Fuel Venture Capital, AEXLAB is eyeing up a major expansion.
