To keep people safe in any environment, without compromising privacy.
Threat detection hardware has become commonplace in schools, public spaces, and venues across the U.S, but they often come with pitfalls. Whilst such technologies can successfully detect weaponry, intruders, and other threats, they are often based on biases that lead to frequent false positives, whilst presenting a variety of privacy and compliance issues.
Actuate develops threat detection software that uses AI to increase the accuracy of existing hardware through AI, reduce bias-based false positives by 95%, and prioritize compliance. Whilst AI-driven threat detection systems are nothing new, Actuate stands out by providing a software-only solution, helping to augment threat detection systems as opposed to replacing them.
The company has recognized the budget limitations and privacy concerns that prevent organizations from optimizing their threat detection hardware, tackling these challenges whilst preventing the wasting of resources due to false positives. Going forward, Actuate is continuing to invest in its product.
