Our take

Admiral Pioneer is an entity within Admiral Group, a FTSE100 Financial Services company, with the objective of seeding, launching and scaling new businesses in areas of increasing societal importance.

Being part of the Admiral Group, Admiral Pioneer are able to leverage all the resources, knowledge and support of a well established enterprise company, a hugely attractive asset to many founders. For example, Veygo are a startup who benefited from Admiral's technical insurance expertise. Admiral helped the group scale and launch new propositions within the learning driver market.

They are not an incubator, instead the group provide the space and resources to building new products, business models and partnerships. Domains of focus are based around strategic interests of Admiral Group such as Mobility (electric vehicles or smart cities), Future of Work (hybrid working, gig and freelance) and Live to 101 (Physical and Financial Wellbeing).
