Advaya's mission is to create learning programmes with the leading minds of our time to shift perspectives and transform how we relate to each other and the world around us.
Advaya is a multi-faceted social impact organisation aiming to overhaul harmful modern practices through local action and global change. Its focus is on emphasising the connection between people, the planet, and mental and environmental health. It champions these values through hosting events, building communities, and spearheading a practice it defines as joyful activism.
The marriage of mental wellbeing and environmental concerns is one that’s gaining traction in scientific circles. Noise and air pollution, in particular, are thought to be the causes of substantial mental health issues. Research bodies in Advaya’s home regions of the UK and Europe are beginning to emphasise this connection, so it’s likely that Advaya’s chosen advocacy concerns will begin to attract more attention going forwards.
Advaya’s activities so far extend principally to hosting talks and meditation sessions, but drumming up exposure through digital engagement is no bad thing in the age of the attention economy. A campaign launched in partnership with Cara Delevingne, for example, saw substantial celebrity involvement, and a learning platform is slated for launch in 2022. With this kind of production, Advaya may continue to see strong engagement as their cause progresses.
