Company mission

To reduce over 1 gigaton of CO₂.

Our take

The industrial landscape is grappling with the challenge of carbon emissions, particularly from processes that are linked to pollution. Enter Again, a startup born out of the Technical University of Denmark, armed with a solution to combat climate-damaging industrial emissions.

Again's approach involves deploying genetically modified bacteria within a towering 65-foot bioreactor. These microbes devour industrial flue gas, simultaneously consuming hydrogen, and produce a beneficial byproduct: vinegar. It's not just any vinegar though - Again refines this output into acetic acid and acetate, laying the foundation for eco-friendly detergents, paints, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.

Navigating the complexities of carbon-intensive industries, Again stands at the forefront of a cleaner, more sustainable future. Its green hydrogen vision aligns well with other industrial decarbonisation efforts, such as electrolysis and renewable energy, positioning itself as a key player in the quest to revolutionise industrial processes.
