To empower the world to reduce air pollution by transforming how governments, businesses, and communities understand and respond to air pollution.
In some areas of the world, air pollution levels exceed the World Health Organization’s standards by hundreds, at times thousands, of percentage points. Clean-tech company Airly provides actionable data and insights to help community groups, businesses, and governments understand the complexities of air pollution in a bid to improve air quality around the world.
Used by more than 500 local authorities across 40 countries, the company provides affordable sensors that monitor local air quality data in real-time. Airly’s innovative dashboard then analyses the data trends to identify sources of pollution and make recommendations (such as low-emission zone implementation).
The company’s Firstminute Capital and Pi Labs-led funding has allowed it to focus on accelerating new market expansion and continued R&D. Though the company faces competition against Google-owned Breezometer and Clarity, Airly’s unique ability to provide hyperlocal insights and recommendations has the company well set to see continued growth as a strong clean-tech market competitor.
