To make the transition for international students as seamless as possible, by giving them the ability to sort out critical logistics before they arrive.
For international students, the move to a university in another country can be extremely daunting, with vast amounts of paperwork and other logistics such as ensuring access to their money overseas. Akorn is building an all-in-one application for international students to handle critical logistics, letting them sort everything out prior to arrival.
Technology has already eased the process of going to live and study in other countries, but currently students must juggle numerous accounts and apps to prepare themselves for life overseas. Akorn’s application collects all the vital financial information in one place, and supplies a debit card free to use in over 140 countries. Importantly, the account is easy to set up from anywhere in the world.
Akorn’s application is currently in development and operating a waitlist. The company will be focused on launching their product and establishing their market fit.
