Our take

Founded as a branch off of AlliedCrowds, the tech company using financial knowledge to create sustainable products, AlliedOffsets offers a database for researchers, individuals and businesses to better understand the carbon offset market.

The company is considered an expert provider of data and market intelligence for the Voluntary Carbon Market, which has longed been marred by criticism towards its opacity. Using its own, unique algorithm to look at the underlying credit quality of every offset project, AlliedOffsets can ensure that companies purchase the volume of offsets they claim to; in doing so, reducing foul play in a market in urgent need of change.

AlliedOffsets recently worked with KlimaDAO on a project to bring about transparency to the market through an analysis into the Base Carbon Tonne pool. Looking forward, the company will work to increase the amount of data available for all carbon credit transactions with the goal to make the market function even more transparently and efficiently.
