To make it easy to get great ObGyn care in-person and over telehealth.
Female reproductive health (often referred to ObGyn or obstetrics and gynecology) is the second largest medical specialty in the US, but the majority of patients are unhappy with the care they receive. Almond is aiming to change that, with tech-enabled access to in-person and online ObGyn services, delivering faster and more tailored care for patients.
A problem with traditional ObGyn services is that professionals are often spending gargantuan amounts of time on tasks other than patient care. By building the technology that saves physicians time, Almond enables them to deliver care much faster, which results in better health outcomes. The company’s care team are able to help with a range of health concerns from pregnancy planning to sexual health and general ObGyn wellness.
Billing itself as “One Medical but for women’s health”, it is clear the company is confident with the direction it wants to take. Almond has raised promising funds, including from YCombinator, that will enable it to build out its teams, grow its existing clinic and platform, and expand in the US.
