To make supply chains a competitive advantage.
Supply chains are notoriously difficult to manage, with companies often having thousands of different suppliers and hundreds of orders to track at any time. This makes for a sporadic network of contacts, using many different methods of communication. So, it can be difficult to find the answer to even the smallest query.
This is what Ameba hopes to change, with a platform that connects all these disparate methods of communication into a single hub. The idea is that procurement managers can ask a simple question such as "What products are running late?" and generate a real-time answer that is true across every supplier. It will also enable them to automate basic communications, so they can focus on solving issues quickly when they arise.
It's an intriguing concept, and one that has the potential to attract a bounty of clientele. For now, Ameba is focussed on building out the product and testing it out with early customers. If it delivers on its ideas, we predict a promising future for the company.
