To digitise goods-in-transit insurance to make it faster, fairer, and more flexible for ecommerce businesses.

Global ecommerce sales are at an all time high, bolstered by the recent pivot away from brick-and-mortar retail. This has driven up demand for insurance products to tackle missing deliveries, fraud, and product liability among the growing number of ecommerce businesses. Anansi, the recently launched goods-in-transit insurance platform, is looking to provide a full-service solution.
Anansi’s focus on providing one-click, frictionless onboarding and claims resolutions will make it an appealing service to the growing number of smaller businesses. Especially those who might lack the resources and infrastructure to have dedicated insurance teams. So, Anansi was especially astute to have launched its service exclusively on Shopify to begin with.
With new funding under its belt, Anansi is now focusing on building out its products and expanding its footprint beyond its UK/EU Shopify-based audience. If it can handle this upscale whilst delivering truly frictionless insurance products, the team could make impressive headway.
