Our take
AndCo is a UK-based startup that transforms independent pubs, cafés and restaurants into co-working spaces during the working week. Their business model consists of matching London freelancers with empty spaces for hot-desking.
AndCo's solution is cheaper than alternatives such as WeWork, while it also helps the restaurant industry struggling to attract clients during the daytime. Moreover, the startup addresses the uncomfortable situation around freelancers having to continuously order drinks in order to keep their place, by allowing them to pay for a monthly subscription to have access to over 100 venues in London.
Freelancing is becoming an increasingly popular way to work. In order to capitalize on this opportunity, AndCo has raised £800k in order to expand in the UK and to develop its technology.
