Ankorstore was founded on the belief that independent retailers are fundamental to the soul and identity of local towns and cities. It helps them flourish by providing retailers with great purchasing conditions and tools.
Ankorstore is attempting to build the largest European marketplace to connect authentic brands with thousands of independent retailers. It inspires retailers with a large and distinctive range of products, as well as helping them to work with brands under unique conditions.
These include having all brands paid at reception, 60-day payment for retailers, and free delivery offered. Its website carefully selects exceptional products all across Europe, and a minimum checkout of £300 to allow retailers to gain flexibility and turn over its stock regularly.
Offering great products in every sector from Kids and Home and Living to Grocery, Beauty, and Fashion, Ankorstore is enabling brands - including Jane Eymar, SpiceNerds, and Jeux d'Enfants - to maximise their sell-through and turn their inventories regularly. With this approach and unicorn status achieved in 2022, Ankorstore is helping independent retailers and brands all across Europe.

One of the key values of the company is 'empowerment', meaning all employees are trusted and encouraged to bring ideas forward and make decisions independently. Due to the fast-growth nature of Ankorstore, there's a lot of opportunities to implement policies or processes, and leadership are always so happy to hear ideas! On top of this, we have a monthly pulse survey where we can submit ideas to the people team about improving employee experience, anonymously if you'd prefer. This really does feel as though all employees' voices are heard.
