Our take
Appetite is a platform for the hospitality industry that aims to revolutionise how people discover, recommend, and book restaurants. The app aims to digitise influential word-of-mouth recommendations and combine them with AI technology to provide users with an unparalleled tool for finding and reserving the best restaurants and bars.
Appetite’s premise is a good one. It hopes to alleviate the traditional frustrations associated with hunting for a restaurant through google searches and review sites, gathering friends, and making reservations. What sets it apart from the likes of Open Door and Tripadvisor is that is unifies the entire digital process of planning and booking a meal out, with users able to establish groups, synchronise calendars, vote on dining options, receive customised AI suggestions, and book the table itself.
Since launching at the end of 2023, Appetite has caught the attention of foodies across the UK. It's a fund space for the platform and will be exciting to see how it evolves.
