Our take
Open-source opens a world of opportunities for developers, but finding the right set of APIs to work with can take an off-putting amount of time and effort, especially for those new to the scene. Appwrite supplies a backend-as-a-service platform to connect developers to all the core APIs they could need to build any application, offering security and simplicity hand-in-hand.
Since launch, Appwrite has added several additional features and remains one of the fastest growing open-source platforms. With more than 150,000 developers using Appwrite, it seems set for continued success.
Recently it launched the “Appwrite OSS Fund” to support open-source developers and their projects, while the company’s own impressive funding will go towards product development, expanding its global team across all departments, and continuing to support the open-source community.
