Our take
AptDeco is an online furniture marketplace that allows people to buy and sell pre-owned furniture. The platform was created in 2014 after founders Reham and Kalam faced the frustrations and hassle involved in selling pre-loved furniture, and it has since grown to become one of the most popular online furniture marketplaces in Northeastern United States.
The company handles all logistics involved in the buying and selling of the furniture listed on its site, and is the only resale marketplace in the country to accept and list all resale items. As well as offering national shipping, it allows buyers and sellers across the country an easy and affordable way to participate in the resale of furniture and reduce the harmful effects of throwaway culture on the planet.
By extending the lifecycle of these pieces, AptDeco has kept thousands of pounds of furniture out of the landfill, instead giving them a new home. And as the online furniture market continues to grow, with trends shifting towards more sustainable and eco-friendly furniture options, AptDeco is likely to continue to thrive as consumers become more conscious of their environmental impact.
