Company mission

Archangel Autonomy makes AI accessible in remote areas to protect people, infrastructure, assets, and the planet at scale. Our vision is to enable human + machine teaming in the real world. Our standalone cameras and drones, with the latest on-device AI and communications technology, can detect potential problems and send near real-time alerts to the right people.

Our take

Remote monitoring technologies are impressive but generally fall short when facing challenges like oil theft, poaching, smuggling, and ensuring safety in extreme environments. Archangel Autonomy was founded in Harwell Space Campus with the mission to unlock the capabilities of existing technologies so that they can be used to solve real-world problems.

The company has created smart, self-contained cameras that work anywhere. This means that they can provide teams with a 24/7 robotic guard for time-critical, challenging missions. It has a range of different use cases, including GNSS-denied environments, site security, rail & transportation, and antipoaching & conservation.

As the AI for Good winner of 2019, the company has been trusted by the likes of Network Rail, the Ministry of Defence, the European Space Agency, and Project Everest Ventures. With an innovative and much-needed software and hardware offering, the company is well set to make an impact in the security space.
