Our take

Arist delivers skills building content that can be completed in five minutes or less through employee messaging apps such as Slack, Whatsapp, and Teams. The company’s model is based on research that supports the idea that younger employees engage much better with messenger apps as opposed to email.

Arist’s training software is coming at an opportune time, as swathes of companies look to upskill their staff in a bid to offer them development and career progression opportunities, while fending off rising resignation figures across most industries.

Employee training and development comes with obvious time constraints however, which Arist’s “microlearning” approach attempts to overcome. Despite only being founded in 2018, the startup has made an impressive start, with Amazon, Intel, and BP its most high profile customers.

Having completed a major fundraise led by PeakSpan Capital in 2022, the startup is now aiming to add to its team and scale to the rest of the Fortune 500 by refining its manager development content. The release of its features and courses concerning compliance training expands its remit and is an attractive proposition to larger-sized clients.
