The Arterys mission is to transform healthcare by reducing subjectivity and variability in clinical diagnosis.
Like the story of many technologies, AI in medicine has been a story of gradual and then sudden growth. Now, applications of machine learning are being seen across medical departments. One leading area has been its application to medical imaging, of which Arterys is at the forefront.
Arterys offers an AI-based platform which dramatically reduces the time required by doctors to detect conditions from images resulting from scans. For example, Pediatric cardiovascular diseases are most often detected using ultrasound, which offers only a partial view of the heart without blood flow quantifications or MRI, requiring many hours when a child must be secured to a scanning table.
The team hopes to create an automated, intelligent and zero-footprint medical imaging analytic cloud platform for doctors to have direct access to lifesaving images and unleash real-world clinical data to make healthcare more data-driven and accurate.
Its flagship product, Cardio AI, targets structural heart disease but Arterys has plans for products examining brain and lung imageries and it has a special long-term emphasis on the ideas of collective intelligence and cloud-based AI.
