Our take
Whilst AI agents are popping up here, there and everywhere, Artisan AI hopes to build more sophisticated work assistants that it calls "Artisans". These Artisans will be designed to act as additional team members that take over where they can, but are also capable of calling in human help when required.
So far, the company has launched Ava - an AI sales rep - that is able to discover leads, construct and send bespoke emails to prospects, as well as reply to questions, and book follow-up meetings. Artisan has also announced Liam, James, Emma, Noah and Olivia, that cover marketing, CS, recruitment, design and finance respectively - all of which it hopes to launch in 2024.
To this end, the Artisan AI plans to build out its team, focusing especially on engineering and product. Pre-Seed funding to the tune of $2.3 million will certainly help with these ambitions, as the company brings its unique idea to fruition.
