Aula's mission is to empower educators to make every learning experience truly engaging.
Aula (acquired by Coventry University Group) was developed as a response to dissatisfaction with learning management systems used by universities (e.g. Moodle, Canvas and Blackboard) which are seen as clunky and end up acting as digital filing cabinets.
Inspired by communication tools like WhatsApp and Slack, Aula replaces emails and learning management systems with a single platform. This digital infrastructure is designed to encourage conversation and participation. Aula enables new ways to teach, learn and create community.
Higher education can be slow to implement new technologies. Aula's success shows universities are recognising the need to invest in their digital infrastructure.

I love working at Aula because of the impact I can have on the product and company culture. It's incredibly rewarding to see our product making people's education better.

Aula is the most transparent company I have ever worked at. This applies to communications on how the company is doing from the CEO to feedback between peers. It's refreshing to see radical candour actually practiced.

The types of problems I have to solve at Aula are very varied: from architecture choices to participating in hiring. There's always something new to learn and plenty of opportunities to take ownership on projects. When the difficulty curve is to steep, I have been provided with training and support.
