Our take
BCG Digital Ventures (BCGDV) is an offshoot of Boston Consulting Group focusing on corporate investment and startup incubation. BCGDV invents, builds, scales, and invests in startups, sharing risk and investing alongside corporate and startup partners through a range of collaborative options.
It goes beyond providing consulting, design, and technology services to form strategic venture teams with its clients in order to rapidly develop, launch, and grow transformational digital products, platforms, and businesses. Its multidisciplinary team of entrepreneurs, operators, and investors works cross-functionally, rapidly moving from paper to product to business in less than 12 months.
Its ventures don’t simply influence industries, but fundamentally transforms them. Its work spans connected health, money and banking, media, commerce, travel and logistics and productivity and consumption.
BCGDV has helped build over 100 businesses that collectively employ over 1,000 people. With its recent launch of centres in India and Morocco, BCGDV will have a global presence in 12 countries with 16 centres across multiple cities including Shanghai, New Delhi, Los Angeles, Sydney, and London.
In 2023, BCGDV fell under the subsidiary of a new wing of the company, BCG X, a technology design, build & implementation service that incorporates BCG Digital, Plationion, and Gamma.
