Our take

In the US alone, there are around 22 million children between 6 months and 6 years old. The parents of this infant army often spend hundreds of dollars desperately trying to soothe their babies and toddlers to sleep. Sleep advisor services are often expensive and temporary, involving a number of home-visits and no follow-up guidance upon program completion.

The aim of Batelle is to scale the impact of a tried and tested sleep school method that focuses on teaching children to feel safe and trust in the sleep process. By bringing this education to parent’s pockets via an app, it enables easy access to sleep training and a cheaper alternative to sleep products.

Batelle has been successful amongst parents, with a 95% success rate. Their recent funding will largely be invested in research and development. This will help the company build the evidence for sleep’s positive impact on child development and well-being.
