To make customers great at putting video content online by providing easy-to-use, powerful web applications to manage TV and video on-demand (VOD) services.
20% employee growth in 12 months
BeBanjo was founded in 2008 as a response to an emerging opportunity in the video industry: viewers were increasingly favoring on-demand consumption over traditional linear television. Meanwhile, companies serving these viewers were lacking the tools to efficiently manage their growing content operations.
The company specialises in Video On-Demand (VoD) content, allowing it to help its established clients, including broadcasters, Hollywood studios and platform operators, diversify effectively into this ever-growing market. BeBanjo's principal product, Movida, offers to simplify rights management and VOD scheduling across multiple platforms, devices and territories.
The company is headed by an experienced international team who have worked extensively with broadcasters and studios over the past 20 years. Further, having recently been acquired by MEDIAGENIX, a global media solution provider, BeBanjo is expected to reach new markets and capabilities that will lead to accelerated growth.

We can organize our working hours as we need and want. There is just a bare minimum of meetings and most of the collaboration is happening asynchronously. Nobody is micromanaging us and we are treated like adults.

Each of us have a learning budget and are encouraged to go to conferences, read books, go through online courses etc. There are often new topics to explore and implement so I keep learning a lot.

I can't say enough about how great people at BeBanjo are. They are real team players, everyone always does everything to help and we care about each other. Even though we've always been a remote company, I feel very close to my coworkers.

I never feel micro-managed. From the CEO to the teams leads, I've always had the freedom to express my views, discuss my concerns and feel like I'm part of company, the product and the solution to a given problem.

We care a lot about people feeling supported and welcomed at work, and you can notice the culture from day 1. I've made pretty good friends during my stay at the company, despite being 100% remote.

I've had a baby recently and I've always felt supported and encouraged to use my parental leave in the way that fit my family the most. That flexibility makes it much easier to keep the balance and to value the company even more.

I've worked for my fair share of companies where there's no margin for error or time for human emotions. BeBanjo is a solid business and that permeates the company culture. Work is usually very manageable, and even in my most stressful moments, management has been very supportive.

"Flexible working" is something that we're used to seeing in job postings, but I've never experienced that as I have in BeBanjo. When I joined, 7 years ago, I was amazed when people said that they were going swimming, or to have a haircut in the middle of their workday. I've always felt that I could configure my schedule as I wanted, and that's a big plus for me. More importantly, there were no questions asked when I wanted to relocate, or when I asked management to reduce my working hours. I'm so grateful for that.

Most companies say that they have a team of really nice people. Not many companies, at least in product development, have employees working there for more than 5 years, or former employees and managers regularly attending get-togethers.
