Our take

As household bills continue to increase, people are having difficulty managing their monthly spend. Billing Better was founded in 2016 to make this process easier by providing a bill management service, searching for the best deals on the market and combining all utility bills into a single monthly payment.

Better Billing provides a subscription service for individual customers and a white label application for lettings agents that allows them to provide monthly billing as a service to their own tenants. With most of its competition being market comparison providers, Better Billing stands out with the speed at which it can handle utility company switching (in seconds rather than hours) and its ability to sniff out savings and take advantage of government rebates that customers might miss on their own.

This has gained it a steadily growing customer base of over 10,000 home owners and renters as well as hundreds of letting agencies.

Better Billing has recently acquired Homebox, a utilities switching service, adding their comparison capabilities to Better Billing's platform. Better Billing plans to further expand its product offering and increase its market share. As utility bills continue to be a significant source of stress in the ongoing cost of living crisis, Better Billing has an opportunity to grow while providing a valuable service.

Leadership

Prior to founding Billing Better was an officer in the Metropolitan Police.
