Company mission

To deliver innovative solutions that help healthcare professionals add clinical value, improve diagnostic confidence and patient outcomes – all at a lower cost.

Our take

Blackford’s AI imaging platform allows healthcare providers to access a marketplace of regulatory approved medical image analysis applications and AI algorithms to suit their own needs, all of which can be integrated into their own workflows.

The use of AI in healthcare, particularly in imaging analysis and diagnosis, has been surging for the last few years. It’s a market that’s expected to continue growing by around 25% annually over the coming decade.

However, as healthcare providers seek to stay up to date while reducing demand on their own staff, the ever-developing nature of the AI field can result in over-spending, and even poor patient outcomes. In providing a curated marketplace of AI solutions, Blackford is attempting to alleviate this burden.

The company has been growing strongly since its launch in 2010, and has partnered with some major names in the medical industry such as Bayer and Densitas. Future success will largely depend on Blackfor’s ability to expand new and existing partnerships while continuing to refine its own tech offering.
