Our take
Gynaecological and reproductive healthcare has historically been overlooked, which has resulted in a gender health gap that affects millions of women daily. Bloomful is hoping to rebalance healthcare by ushering in an era of equity by building a health system that puts women around the globe at the centre.
The company is reimagining how and where women access gynaecological care. Its personalised and accessible digital platform is a triage tool that takes a woman’s reported symptoms, applies cognitional logic to them, and provides actionable insights into those symptoms and next steps. The company then connects patients with professionals for remote consultations to assist them further.
Over 15,000 women used Bloomful’s triage tool within its first few weeks of launch, and the company has been working to develop a more sophisticated version. Its funding from Google and KPMG – as well as an award for ‘Most Promising Small Business’ – is a testament to the work Bloomful is doing in bridging the gap between women and the healthcare they deserve.
