A lot of E-Commerce businesses are increasingly trying to engage directly with consumers, whether that be through engaging their audience on Instagram, providing customer support via SMS or WhatsApp or even more fully fleshed out services that live completely on WhatsApp or Messenger (such as financial help bots or personal shoppers). Blueprint believe that consumers will increasingly be buying services through these conversational channels, and they're facilitating the payment infrastructure to make that happen.
The current models of communication and purchasing within eCommerce have been in place for almost 2 decades. The idea that additional data entry and logging in with a password and username was the only way to purchase a product online, and that slow email support was the best way to communicate with a brand online are being disrupted by Conversational Commerce.
