Our take

As educational institutions become increasingly keen to use technical solutions to reach their goals, Boclips has a booming market to compete in. The edtech market is expected to reach $230 Billion by 2028.

Boclips procures and aggregates video content on a simple platform, allowing educational publishers, courseware designers and teachers to easily find and use world-class video content to enhance their learning programmes and more effectively encourage students. Boclips acts as an alternative to consumer-focused video platforms; AI-driven content management system enables users to easily locate the right video for every stage of the school or university curriculum.

The company manages the largest educational video resource in the world, providing access to more than two million rights-cleared clips from over 350 trusted sources, ranging from news programming from The Wall Street Journal to Ted Talks. Customers include courseware developers, EdTech solutions providers and Ministries of Education.

Its 2021 acquisition of Listenwise, the US market leader in curriculum-geared podcasts for grades 2 to 12, and 2023 partnership with education nonprofit OpenStax creates a unique offering of video and audio content for global education providers. Off the back of these partnerships, Boclips will continue to accelerate its growth in the US and worldwide.
