Bokksu offers exclusive partnerships with small, local merchants. This is perhaps its best edge over the brand’s direct and long-standing competitor Tokyo Treat, who favour merchandise from larger manufacturers. Subscription snack shoppers are looking for authenticity, adding to Bokksu's appeal.
Bokksu’s strong foundation has also given it the resources to venture into broader, more lucrative business territories. Alongside its online snack marketplace, Bokksu is jumping on board the rapid-growth online groceries bandwagon and playing it smart. Competitors like Umamicart and Weee! don’t yet offer Bokksu’s nationwide shipping, which means, for now, Bokksu is remaining ahead of powerful eCommerce trends.
