Our take

Bold Valuable Tech is a Barcelona-based manufacturing company that builds lightweight structural solutions and electrical batteries for the automotive and aerospace industries. Founded by former F1 designer Bernat Carreras, the company aims to create efficient and powerful bespoke structures and batteries for the world’s fastest and most powerful vehicles.

Carreras and his team use advanced composite materials to develop their structures, and are driven by a desire to achieve the maximum efficiency and power for any given project. Bold's main focus is bridging structural solutions for weight and safety, drawing on the combined knowledge of former engineers at companies such as Renault and McLaren, clearly key assets in Bold's F1 and aerospace projects.

With 2022 seeing Bold awarded €2.3 in seed funding, the company plans to accelerate its high-performance battery technology across a range of fields, including stationary applications and renewables. This widened focus will see them vie to be the leader in design, power and weight capabilities for the next generation of vehicles in Europe. With such a promising start and a seasoned team working for it, it looks likely Bold will succeed.
