Our take

Unlocking student creativity is essential to improving engagement and maximising the impact of learning. Book Creator is a self-publishing program for students and teachers, enabling collaboration inside and outside of the classroom to create and publish eBooks related to classroom topics, inspiring today's tech-savvy students.

Over 1.5 million digital books are made every month with Book Creator across the world, and 50 million books have been created since its 2011 launch. Although Book Creator began as a tool for rising authors, it has shifted focus almost entirely toward serving the K-12 market.

With a small staff and a big goal of reaching millions of students, it focuses on instant scale and powerful compute options. Book Creator partners with Google for Education to improve accessibility through multiple service offerings and uses Google Cloud solutions to power its business.
