Last-mile delivery company Budbee specialises in eCommerce parcel delivery, delivering directly to customers’ homes or through its expansive network of smart parcel lockers. Providing same or next-day delivery options is an increasingly desirable option for consumers, and Budbee’s sustainable and innovative delivery systems have seen more than 35 million people across 5 countries benefit from these options.
The last-mile delivery industry has become an increasingly competitive space, however, the turbulent economic landscape has affected even some of the most prominent companies, such as US grocery delivery company Instacart and food delivery service JustEat. While Budbee operates within a different market, its strategic consolidation with Instabox is a smart move to pre-emptively avoid some of the same challenges. With a previous valuation of ~$700 million, the merger of Budbee and Instabox (Instabee) has come with a new $1.7 billion valuation, a sparkling reflection of the company's success so far.
