Buoy's mission is to help people make the best decision about their health through its AI-driven digital health diagnostic assistant.
Getting health advice can be difficult, with long waiting lists and confusing insurance plans making it a time-consuming and stressful process. In addition to this, many people neglect their more minor health concerns due to fear of wasting the doctor's time, a stigma that ultimately leads to untreated health problems.
Buoy Health provides an AI-driven digital health diagnostic assistant, allowing people concerned about their health to receive free and confidential health advice online. Users must complete a questionnaire based on the initial symptoms that they provide, with the AI working through answers contextually to provide a diagnosis, in addition to nearby healthcare providers that accept the user’s insurance.
Whilst several other healthcare startups have already provided AI-driven digital health diagnostic assistants as part of their services, Buoy Health has uniquely provided its chat assistant for free, relying on healthcare referrals for revenue. The company also stands out by logging each questionnaire result to crowdsource information, allowing the AI chat assistant to increase its ability to accurately diagnose health concerns over time.
