Our take

Buzzbike is a unique entrant into the multi-billion dollar micromobility industry in the U.K.

Instead of pay-as-you-go electric scooters/bikes, Buzzbike offers a monthly subscription to a top-range bicycle with maintenance included.

The London-based company looks to follow in the path of Dutch firm Swapfiets which is operating in Germany, Denmark and Belgium with a similar model.

During the pandemic, when buying any kind of bike was difficult, Buzzbike’s business flourished. The company will now have to prove that the increased interest in cycling subscriptions is a lasting trend.
