Our take

COPA-DATA sets out to advance automation in the energy, pharmaceutical and automotive industries. Its software platform, zenon, enables businesses to automate their manufacturing and infrastructure equipment for heightened efficiency. The company also supports the integration of historical data for smarter operations.

Zenon allows its users to acquire and manage data, visualise and control complex systems, analyse and report on performance and apply custom automations without the need for programming knowledge. It is already used by over fifty Fortune Global 500 businesses, and boasts upwards of 300,000 installations.

As more and more businesses seek to digitise their operations, COPA-DATA has found a wealth of opportunity and enjoyed turnover growth of 19 percent in 2024. Its global expansion to territories like Japan is a promising indicator of longevity for the software platform.
