Our take

Founded by a group of doctors, engineers, and data scientists, COTA Healthcare builds solutions for healthcare to analyze, visualize, report, and manage real-world evidence and deliver precision medicine. COTA partners with providers, payers, and life science companies to improve patient outcomes, make clinical sense of claims data, and accelerate drug development.

COTA is now well established, although by no means the only player in the global AI healthcare market, which is expected to reach $39.5 billion by 2026. Competition from larger oncology-focused companies such as Flatiron Health and Tempus means that COTA must keep expanding its oncology database.

The company is now focusing its growth efforts on expanding its oncology real-world data, analytics, and services for its audiences in the years to come. This includes a deep focus on leveraging real-world data to bring equity to cancer care and drug development, by ensuring that its data sets are representative of a diverse population and the epidemiologically relevant population in the US.
