Our take
Hybrid working is fast becoming the dominant office model - employees tend to prefer it, it saves on operational costs, etc. But the downside for workers is that every meeting is on zoom, and you’re always not-quite syncing up work days with other coworkers. Café says it’s here to solve these problems.
It’s essentially a beefed-up desk booking interface for the office. You can see easily see where everyone is and plan your days to coincide with the people you’re working with on a specific project, and arrange in-person meetings. It integrates with Slack to provide personal statuses (sometimes a walk across the office is going to be easier than that long message), and companies can set custom status settings as well.
Back by Y Combinator, Café seems well-positioned to ride the wave of changing office culture, and is working on new integrations with a range of HR softwares.
