Our take

Though entering a crowded market, CAKE, a Swedish electric motorbike and moped company, has been incredibly proactive since its founding in 2016. With five designs having been released since 2018, the first-born Kalk elevated CAKE through its receiving a number of high-profile awards. These included the Red Dot and IF Design awards, establishing CAKE as a leading European player in the net zero transport sector.

Though the Kalk has been the most decorated of CAKE’s products, the Osa is the most innovative. With a rigid unibeam structure that facilitates any additions and accessories a driver would want to add to the central frame. This exemplifies the lateral thinking and originality of CAKE’s design team, marking them out against the competition.

Pairing style and power with a net-zero ethos, CAKE shows no signs of slowing down, releasing the Bukk electric dirt bike in 2023. With enough variety between its product launches and growing global brand awareness, CAKE is certainly on the right track for market success.
