Our take

Period products have been around for decades but have seen very little innovation; many people are not satisfied with the options available to them on the market. Callaly are disrupting the femcare market by redesigning the tampon in a way that allows for hygienic insertion while also eliminating the need for hard plastic applicators.

Callaly's first major innovation is a new type of tampon that is leak-proof and organic: the Tampliner. It is sold online through a customisable subscription box. It's their drive to innovate within the femcare sector that sets them apart from competitors like Cora, Dame and Daye.

Global expansion is a major goal of the company; Callaly already operates in the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden and the UK, and they have prioritised a launch in the US once they receive FDA approval. The company ultimately wants to be the worldwide provider for innovative, organic, and sustainable period products.
