Our take

German finance departments are falling behind when it comes to digitisation. Plenty of accounting processes are still performed manually and inefficiently, which raises the question of why digitisation has yet to take hold in this industry.

Candis is a fintech platform that automates manual book-keeping, accounting processes and B2B payments for mid-market companies and their tax advisers using machine learning technology. Its AI-driven approach has proved popular so far, with over 10,000 small and medium-sized enterprises using Candis' solution to save valuable time across all processes.

With significant funding raised so far, the company will be aiming to develop the machine learning engine that drive its solutions, and will hope to fulfil its expansion aspirations within Europe.
