Carbonfact's mission is to provide consumers with carbon footprints for every product in existence.
Consumers are becoming increasingly conscious of the products that they purchase and how they affect the environment, particularly when it comes to a product’s carbon footprint. However, it is often difficult to see past misleading marketing campaigns of companies, with no clear information being provided regarding the true carbon footprint of their products.
Carbonfact maintains an online database of information regarding the net carbon footprint for a variety of products. In addition to providing information to consumers to facilitate sustainable purchasing decisions, Carbonfact also partners with sustainable brands to list their products, allowing their products to stand out through positive carbon footprint measurements.
Many large brands are able to calculate their own carbon footprint and disclose the information on their websites, but smaller brands often do not have the resources and environmental science teams to do so. Carbonfact has made an excellent step towards changing this, the company is making it easier for consumers to buy sustainably whilst rewarding sustainable companies through increased brand awareness.
