Our take

Carra is a pioneering beauty-tech platform set to revolutionise the afro, curly and multi-textured hair market using science and data. It provides hyper-personalisation by bringing together expert advice and machine learning to offer custom routines, product and ingredient recommendations all tailored to individual hair textures and concerns.

Founder Winnie Awa initially launched the afro hair & skin e-commerce platform Antidote Street. In running this, she witnessed the biggest challenges facing customers with textured hair and thus Carra was born. The company is part of the Founders Factory programme.

Carra's vision is to build the number one global platform for the ever growing multicultural population, starting in the UK. Its committed to revolutionising the haircare industry by addressing the need for further education about textured hair.
