In an ever-competitive market, law firms are turning to technology to maintain their competitive edge. Casetext provides a collection of research software for lawyers and firms, focussed on streamlining research and compiling swift first drafts of documentation.
Casetext was founded by a group of litigators who identified legal research as a particular area of weakness for legal tech and have since built the company to become the leading provider of A.I.-powered legal technology. Its software automates steps in the legal process, allowing attorneys to work more efficiently for their clients. The company is continually innovating as it attempts to combat weaknesses in legal research procedure - its AllSearch product uses neural nets to provide a concept-based search tool, using AI to avoid irrelevant results in searches.
With substantial funding raised from a number of investors, including an Am Law 100 law firm, Casetext has been able to expand its product offerings and in early 2023 announced the launch of its AI legal assistant, CoCounsel. The first of its kind, this product opens many doors for attorneys when delegating tasks and leverages Casetexts position in the market.
